In addition to regular weekly and monthly maintenance, an annual review and maintenance plan for synthetic turf is essential to keep the playing surface clean, bacteria-free, allow water infiltration, and ensure optimal field performance.
The Vescio’s SportsFields Synthetic Maintenance Plan includes the following:
Field Audit
- Generate a report that details findings.
- Check infill levels – keeping infill to the prescribed levels provides cushioning, traction, proper footing, and helps extend the life of the field.
- Check for uneven or undulating areas to confirm that the field is level.
- Check for any wear or high-traffic areas.
- Inspect seams.
- Gmax test
Repairs
- Make repairs found in the audit.
- The maintenance plan includes a total of 20 linear feet of repairs.
- Major repairs and remediation require a separate quote.
Clean and Groom
- Our state-of-the-art equipment removes debris and the top infill layer from the turf, separates the debris, and redistributes the clean infill back into the field.
- Magnet pull.
- De-compact
- Sweep field
Anti-microbial treatment – inhibits the growth of bacteria, mold, and mildew on synthetic turf.
Check the irrigation system if applicable.
GMAX Testing – measures the ability of the synthetic turf to absorb the “shock” from a collision, such as a player falling on the field’s surface.
The following are not included in the Maintenance Plan and require a separate quote.
- Synthetic turf repairs more than 20 linear feet.
- Uneven and undulating area repairs.
- Additional infill. A truckload of infill will provide a quarter inch of infill over an entire football/soccer/lacrosse/field hockey field.
- Irrigation repairs.
- Infill extraction.
- End of life – extract original infill so it can be reused on the new field providing cost savings.
- Performance testing – vertical deformation, vertical restitution, and shock absorption.
